אַ֣ךְ בְּֽכוֹר־שׁ֡וֹר אֽוֹ־בְכ֨וֹר כֶּ֜שֶׂב אֽוֹ־בְכ֥וֹר עֵ֛ז לֹ֥א תִפְדֶּ֖ה קֹ֣דֶשׁ הֵ֑ם אֶת־דָּמָ֞ם תִּזְרֹ֤ק עַל־הַמִּזְבֵּ֙חַ֙ וְאֶת־חֶלְבָּ֣ם תַּקְטִ֔יר אִשֶּׁ֛ה לְרֵ֥יחַ נִיחֹ֖חַ לַיהֹוָֽה׃

קֹדֶשׁ הֵם — בְּהַוָּיָתָם יִהְיוּ; כָּל הַקֳּדָשִׁים יֵשׁ לָהֶם פִּדְיוֹן חוּץ מִן הַבְּכוֹר וְהַמַּעֲשֵׂר.
English: “They are holy” — they remain in their state; all kodashim have redemption except bechor and ma’aser.

Unlike other kodashim, bechor and ma’aser do not transfer kedushah to redemption money.
