כׇּל־פֶּ֣טֶר רֶ֠חֶם לְכׇל־בָּשָׂ֞ר אֲשֶׁר־יַקְרִ֧יבוּ לַה׳ בָּאָדָ֥ם וּבַבְּהֵמָ֖ה יִהְיֶה־לָּ֑ךְ אַ֣ךְ ׀ פָּדֹ֣ה תִפְדֶּ֗ה אֵ֚ת בְּכ֣וֹר הָֽאָדָ֔ם וְאֵ֛ת בְּכֽוֹר־הַבְּהֵמָ֥ה הַטְּמֵאָ֖ה תִּפְדֶּֽה׃

אַךְ פָּדֹה תִפְדֶּה אֶת בְּכוֹר הָאָדָם וְאֶת בְּכוֹר הַבְּהֵמָה הַטְּמֵאָה תִּפְדֶּה — כָּל שֶׁיֶּשְׁנוֹ בִּבְכוֹר אָדָם יֶשְׁנוֹ בִּבְכוֹר בְּהֵמָה טְמֵאָה, וְכֹהֲנִים וּלְוִיִּם הוֹאִיל וְאֵינָם בִּבְכוֹר אָדָם אֵינָם בִּבְכוֹר בְּהֵמָה טְמֵאָה.

English: Whoever is subject to human firstborn is subject to impure-animal firstborn; kohanim and Leviim, not being subject to human firstborn, are not subject to peter chamor.
