English: It was taught: R’ Yishmael says: It is said here “and the zar who comes near shall be put to death,” and it is said there “anyone who comes near… shall die” — just as there it is bi-yedei shamayim, so here bi-yedei shamayim.
Gezeirah shavah — death bi-yedei shamayim.
The death of a zar who serves is heavenly death, not court execution — by Gezeirah shavah to the earlier verse in the Korach narrative.
