וְזָכַרְתִּ֖י אֶת־בְּרִיתִ֣י יַעֲק֑וֹב וְאַף֩ אֶת־בְּרִיתִ֨י יִצְחָ֜ק וְאַ֨ף אֶת־בְּרִיתִ֧י אַבְרָהָ֛ם אֶזְכֹּ֖ר וְהָאָ֥רֶץ אֶזְכֹּֽר׃

“וְזָכַרְתִּי אֶת בְּרִיתִי” — אֵין לִי אֶלָּא אָבוֹת; אִמָּהוֹת מִנַּיִן? תַּלְמוּד לוֹמַר “אֶת” — וְאֵין “אֶת” אֶלָּא אִמָּהוֹת.
English: I have only the fathers; from where the mothers? Scripture says et — and et includes the Matriarchs.
