אִם־ע֥וֹד רַבּ֖וֹת בַּשָּׁנִ֑ים לְפִיהֶן֙ יָשִׁ֣יב גְּאֻלָּת֔וֹ מִכֶּ֖סֶף מִקְנָתֽוֹ׃

Core Text — Sifra

אִם עוֹד רַבּוֹת בַּשָּׁנִים. כְּשֶׁיֵּשׁ שָׁנִים מְרֻבּוֹת — מַרְבֶּה בַּגְּאֻלָּה.

English: “If there are still many years.” When there are many years remaining — he increases the redemption payment.

If many years remain until Yovel, the redemption price is correspondingly higher (closer to the original purchase price).
