English: “In this Yovel year.” It was taught: Rabbi Yose bar Chanina said: Come and see how severe is the dust of Shevi’is: a person trades in Shevi’is produce; in the end he sells his movable goods, until he sells himself.

R. Yose bar Chanina teaches the severe progressive consequences of dealing commercially with Shemittah produce, culminating in self-sale into slavery.
