שַׁבַּ֨ת שַׁבָּת֥וֹן הוּא֙ לָכֶ֔ם וְעִנִּיתֶ֖ם אֶת־נַפְשֹׁתֵיכֶ֑ם בְּתִשְׁעָ֤ה לַחֹ֙דֶשׁ֙ בָּעֶ֔רֶב מֵעֶ֣רֶב עַד־עֶ֔רֶב תִּשְׁבְּת֖וּ שַׁבַּתְּכֶֽם׃

בְּתִשְׁעָה לַחֹדֶשׁ. וְכִי בְּתִשְׁעָה מִתְעַנִּין וְהֲלֹא בָּעֲשִׂירִי מִתְעַנִּין, אֶלָּא לוֹמַר לָךְ, כָּל הָאוֹכֵל וְשׁוֹתֶה בַּתְּשִׁיעִי, מַעֲלֶה עָלָיו הַכָּתוּב כְּאִלּוּ מִתְעַנֶּה תְּשִׁיעִי וַעֲשִׂירִי. (בְּרָכוֹת ח׳ ב׳)
