שׁ֣וֹר אוֹ־כֶ֤שֶׂב אוֹ־עֵז֙ כִּ֣י יִוָּלֵ֔ד וְהָיָ֛ה שִׁבְעַ֥ת יָמִ֖ים תַּ֣חַת אִמּ֑וֹ וּמִיּ֤וֹם הַשְּׁמִינִי֙ וָהָ֔לְאָה יֵרָצֶ֕ה לְקׇרְבַּ֥ן אִשֶּׁ֖ה לַיהֹוָֽה׃

וּמִיּוֹם הַשְּׁמִינִי וָהָלְאָה. יָכוֹל בַּשְּׁמִינִי עַצְמוֹ אָסוּר, תַּלְמוּד לוֹמַר בִּבְכוֹר בְּיוֹם הַשְּׁמִינִי תִּתְּנוּ לִי, מַה תַּמָּם בְּיוֹם שְׁמִינִי אַף כָּאן בְּיוֹם שְׁמִינִי. (תּוֹרַת כֹּהֲנִים)
