Core Text

English: For kodashim of non-Jews one is not liable for nosar — because it is written “for he has profaned the holy of Hashem,” and we learn a Gezeirah shavah of chillul from tumah.

Type of Learning

Nosar liability limited to Jewish kodashim

What Is Learned

Just as tumah liability applies only to the sacred things of Bnei Yisrael, so nosar liability does not attach to offerings consecrated by non-Jews.
