יכול תהא מליקה שהיא לפנים מטמאה בגדים בבית הבליעה? ת"ל טרפה — מה טרפה שאינה מתרת את האיסור אף כל שאינה מתרת את האיסור; יצאה מליקה שהיא לפנים הואיל והיא מתרת את האיסור.
English: Melikah performed inside the sanctuary does not generate garment-impurity in the throat, because it permits what would otherwise be forbidden — unlike a terefah.
