Parashas Acharei Mos · Passuk 16:23
Chabad.org — English translation + Rashi
Torah Temima points to Yoma 71a.
English: “Which he put on” — which he had already put on; this teaches that between the day’s service and the removal of the ladle and fire-pan he changes his garments.
Temporal inference from “already”.
The white garments worn for the inner service are changed (after the outer gold-garment service of the olot) before Aharon re-enters to remove the incense vessels; the verse’s wording indicates a prior donning and a subsequent change.
