Parashas Metzora · Passuk 15:16
Chabad.org — English translation + Rashi
Torah Temima points to Eruvin 4b.
English: “And he shall wash …” — it was taught: “And he shall wash in water all his flesh” — that nothing interpose between his flesh and the water; “in water” — in mikveh water; “all his flesh” — including what is attached to his flesh, namely his hair; “all his flesh” — water in which his whole body can ascend, and the Sages measured mikveh water as forty se’ah.
Mikveh requirements from this verse
Chazal derive from this verse the classic rules of no chatzitzah, mikveh water, inclusion of hair, and the forty-se’ah measure.
