וְכֹ֨ל אֲשֶׁ֤ר יִגַּע־בּוֹ֙ הַזָּ֔ב וְיָדָ֖יו לֹא־שָׁטַ֣ף בַּמָּ֑יִם וְכִבֶּ֧ס בְּגָדָ֛יו וְרָחַ֥ץ בַּמַּ֖יִם וְטָמֵ֥א עַד־הָעָֽרֶב׃

וְיָדָיו לֹא שָׁטַף — וַאֲפִלּוּ לְאַחַר כַּמָּה שָׁנִים.

English: “And his hands he did not rinse” — and even after several years.

Immersion remains required until performed

Chazal teach that until immersion is performed after the seven clean days, the zav remains impure regardless of how much time has passed.
