דַּבְּרוּ֙ אֶל־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וַאֲמַרְתֶּ֖ם אֲלֵהֶ֑ם אִ֣ישׁ אִ֗ישׁ כִּ֤י יִהְיֶה֙ זָ֣ב מִבְּשָׂר֔וֹ זוֹב֖וֹ טָמֵ֥א הֽוּא׃

Core Text

טָמֵא הוּא — הוּא טָמֵא וְאֵין דָּם הַיּוֹצֵא מִפִּיו וּמִפִּי הָאַמָּה טָמֵא אֶלָּא טָהוֹר.

English: “He is tamei” — he is tamei, but blood that issues from his mouth or from the opening of the organ is not tamei; it is pure.

Exclusion of other bloods

Chazal exclude blood from the mouth or from the urethra from the impurity of zivah; only the characteristic white discharge is tamei.
