English: “And the kohen shall go out …” — he does not go into his own house and close it up, nor does he stand inside the house that contains the nega and close it up; rather he stands at the entrance of the house that contains the nega and closes it up.
Location of the closing
Chazal require the kohen to stand at the doorway of the affected house when he pronounces the quarantine; he may not do so from inside the house or from his own home.
