Core Text of Chazal

Core Text

English: “And behold it has been healed” — the only difference between one purified from hesgér and one purified from hechlat is the shaving and the birds, as it is written “and behold the nega of the tzaraas has been healed” — one whose affliction depends on healing, excluding the one whose affliction depends only on days.

Type of Learning

Mi’ut from “nirpa”

What Is Learned

Chazal distinguish the purification requirements of the muchlat from those of the musgar; only the former needs the full bird rite on the day of healing.
