וְשִׁסַּ֨ע אֹת֣וֹ בְכְנָפָיו֮ לֹ֣א יַבְדִּיל֒ וְהִקְטִ֨יר אֹת֤וֹ הַכֹּהֵן֙ הַמִּזְבֵּ֔חָה עַל־הָעֵצִ֖ים אֲשֶׁ֣ר עַל־הָאֵ֑שׁ עֹלָ֣ה הִ֔וא אִשֵּׁ֥ה רֵֽיחַ־נִיחֹ֖חַ לַיהֹוָֽה׃

וְשִׁסַּע אֹתוֹ — אֹתוֹ כָּשֵׁר וְלֹא פָּסוּל; אֹתוֹ בְּשִׁסּוּעַ וְלֹא עוֹלַת בְּהֵמָה בְּשִׁסּוּעַ.
English: “And he shall split it” — “it,” a fit [offering] and not an unfit one; “it” by splitting, and not an animal olah by splitting.
Type of Learning
R’ Eliezer #2 (מיעוט) — “it” limits the act to a valid bird olah.
What Is Learned
Only a valid bird olah is split this way; an invalid offering is not, and animal olah is not split by this method.
