וטעם אלהי מסכה. ומלת אלהי הגוים כוללת בעבור עגל מסכה :

English: [MOLTEN GODS.] The phrase “the gods of the nations” takes in all idol worship. 169 Ex. 23:33 reads, Thou shalt not make a covenant with them nor with their gods . Scripture thus prohibits worshipping the gods of the nations. Now the term gods includes all gods. The question thus arises: Why does the earlier section speak of gods and our section of molten gods? The reason our verse reads molten gods is because of the golden calf.
