Sefaria — Rashi on Ki Sisa 32:25

Core Text — Rashi on Ki Sisa 32:25

English: פרע means UNCOVERED — its (the people’s) shame and disgrace were revealed; the word has the same meaning as in (Numbers 5:18) “[and the priest shall uncover (ופרע) the woman’s head”. לשמצה בקמיהם means, that this thing would become an ignominy for them in the mouth of all who will rise against them.
