וטעם ברעה הוציאם. כאשר רמזו קדמונינו ז"ל כי במזל רע יצאו ממצרים והנה יאמרו אין יכלת לשם לנצח כח המזל להציל הדבקים בו, ובראותו כי אין יכולת לו הרגם וזה יהיה חלול השם, והנה התנפל ארבעים יום, והשם אמר לו כי לא אעלה בקרבך (למטה לג ג) והנה לא ירשו הארץ , ואז אמר משה כל פרשת ראה אתה אומר אלי (שם שם יב) ואחר כן צוהו השם שירד ויפסול לוחות ויעלם בידו אל ההר אז ירד השם בענן וקרן עור פניו, וכתב השם הלוחות השניים , על כן כתוב, בעת ההיא אמר ד' אלי פסל לך שני לוחות אבנים כראשונים וגו', ועשית לך ארון עץ (דבר' י א), והנה יעשו ישראל הארון והוא שעשה בצלאל :

English: [FOR EVIL DID HE BRING THEM FORTH.] The meaning of be-ra’a hotzi’am (for evil did He bring them forth) is, as our ancients hint, 51 The rabbis in the Midrash. See Krinsky.
