תַּנְיָא: בְּשָׁעָה שֶׁהִקְדִּימוּ יִשְׂרָאֵל נַעֲשֶׂה לְנִשְׁמָע, בְּאוֹתָהּ שָׁעָה קְרָאָן הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא ״בְּנִי בְכֹרִי יִשְׂרָאֵל״.
English: It was taught: When Israel said “we will do” before “we will hear,” at that moment the Holy One, blessed be He, called them “My firstborn son, Israel.”
