Derasha 479 — Mishpatim 23:3

לָמָּה נֶאֱמַר? לְפִי שֶׁהוּא אוֹמֵר לֹא תִשָּׂא פְנֵי דַל וְלֹא תֶהְדַּר פְּנֵי גָדוֹל, אֵין לִי אֶלָּא אֵלּוּ, חִלּוּפֵיהֶן מִנַּיִן? תַּלְמוּד לוֹמַר וְדַל לֹא תֶהְדַּר.

English: Why is this stated? From “You shall not favor the poor, nor honor the great,” I would know only those cases. From where do I know their opposites? The Torah says, “You shall not favor the poor.”
