ויקח משה את עצמות יוסף עמו — עמו במחיצתו.

English: One who is tamei from a corpse is permitted to enter the camp of the Leviyim; and not only one who is tamei from a corpse, but even the corpse itself, as it is stated “And Moshe took the bones of Yosef with him” — what is “with him”? With him in his partition, with him in the camp of the Leviyim.

In context: See the cited source for the full section.

Type of Learning

Derash on the verse.

What Is Learned

Even a corpse itself is permitted within the camp of the Leviyim, as demonstrated by Moshe’s transport of Yosef’s bones “with him.”
