וְאִם־יִמְעַ֣ט הַבַּ֘יִת֮ מִהְי֣וֹת מִשֶּׂה֒ וְלָקַ֣ח ה֗וּא וּשְׁכֵנ֛וֹ הַקָּרֹ֥ב אֶל־בֵּית֖וֹ בְּמִכְסַ֣ת נְפָשֹׁ֑ת אִ֚ישׁ לְפִ֣י אׇכְל֔וֹ תָּכֹ֖סּוּ עַל־הַשֶּֽׂה׃

מִשּׁוּם דְּאִיכָּא חָזֶה וָשׁוֹק, דְּכֹהֲנִים הוּא דְּאָכְלִי לֵיהּ. וְנַיְתֵי כׇּל חַד וְחַד כֹּהֵן בַּהֲדֵיהּ. הַאי כֹּהֵן הֵיכִי דָּמֵי? אִי דְּעָבֵיד פֶּסַח — דִּילְמָא הַאי פֶּסַח הוּא, וְנִמְצָא פֶּסַח נֶאֱכָל שֶׁלֹּא לִמְנוּיָו. וְאִי דְּלָא עָבֵיד פֶּסַח — דִּילְמָא שְׁלָמִים הוּא, וְלָא עָבֵיד פֶּסַח!
English: “Then he and his neighbor shall take” — from here, neighbors may join for the Pesach when the household is too small.
