וַיֹּ֨אמֶר אֱלֹהִ֤ים ׀ לְיִשְׂרָאֵל֙ בְּמַרְאֹ֣ת הַלַּ֔יְלָה וַיֹּ֖אמֶר יַעֲקֹ֣ב ׀ יַעֲקֹ֑ב וַיֹּ֖אמֶר הִנֵּֽנִי׃

God spoke to Yisrael in night visions and said, “Yaakov, Yaakov.” And he said, “Here I am.”

מֹשֶׁה מֹשֶׁה, אַבְרָהָם אַבְרָהָם, יַעֲקֹב יַעֲקֹב, שְׁמוּאֵל שְׁמוּאֵל — לְשׁוֹן חִבָּה וּלְשׁוֹן זֵרוּז.

English: “Moshe, Moshe; Avraham, Avraham; Yaakov, Yaakov; Shmuel, Shmuel” — an expression of affection and an expression of urging.

On the daf / in context: The doubled name is the same form used for Avraham and Moshe, signaling both love and a call to readiness.

Derash on the verse (Sifra / Torat Kohanim style) — not a formal named middah of the 13.
