And he came upon the place and lodged there because the sun had set, and he took from the stones of the place and placed them at his head, and he lay down in that place.
English: And later it is written “And he took the stone.” How so? Rabbi Yitzchak said: It teaches that all those stones gathered themselves into one place, and each one said, “Upon me let the righteous man rest his head.” A baraita taught: And they were all absorbed into one.
On the daf / in context: Chullin 91b resolves the shift from plural “stones” to singular “the stone” by the miracle of the stones competing and then fusing.
