וַיֵּצֵ֤א הָרִאשׁוֹן֙ אַדְמוֹנִ֔י כֻּלּ֖וֹ כְּאַדֶּ֣רֶת שֵׂעָ֑ר וַיִּקְרְא֥וּ שְׁמ֖וֹ עֵשָֽׂו׃

The first one emerged red, like a hairy mantle all over; so they named him Esav.

תָּנָא דְּבֵי רַבִּי יִשְׁמָעֵאל, בִּשְׂכַר שְׁלֹשָׁה רִאשׁוֹן זָכוּ לִשְׁלֹשָׁה רִאשׁוֹן — לְהַכְרִית זַרְעוֹ שֶׁל עֵשָׂו וּלְבִנְיַן בֵּית הַמִּקְדָּשׁ וּלְשְׁמוֹ שֶׁל מָשִׁיחַ.

English: A teaching of the school of Rabbi Yishmael: In the merit of three “firsts” they merited three “firsts” — to eradicate the seed of Esav, to the building of the Temple, and to the name of Mashiach.
