English: It means pouring out; the verb appears often in Mishnaic Hebrew for one who pours from vessel to vessel.

On the daf / in context: The energetic emptying and repeated running complete the practical demonstration of the kindness Eliezer had prayed to see.

Type of Learning

Derash on the verse (Rashi) — not a formal named middah of the 13: the verb is fixed by Mishnaic usage as pouring out.

What Is Learned

Rivkah emptied the jar into the trough and ran again to draw for all the camels; the full sign is carried out with haste and completeness.
